Kings Dominion has a great Kids area. To put it simply its HUGE. Also Kings Dominion has the best kid coaster I have been on. Scooby Doo Ghoster Coaster. What a fun little ride, smooth and had little pops of air. When I rode the Ghoster Coaster, some lady asked if I would ride with her kid.

Kings Dominion actually has a surprising amount of foliage. Somewhere in there are antique cars. See! Construction for 2010? It wasn’t too busy today. Creeper shot. After that we left the tower to go walk around some more and hit some rides. We rode Scooby Doo’s Ghoster Coaster (because we’re just big kids anyways) and had a blast.

Busch Gardens vs. Kings Dominion for 6yr old 1 MORE

We have a 6 yr old boy who likes roller coasters and almost all kinds of rides. He is 46 inches tall. It looks like he is too short for a handful of the thrill rides at Busch Gardens, but they do have a kids area. Then I look at Kings Dominion and see they have a kids area as well.

First Time at Kings Dominion – Trip Report : rollercoasters

Overall, I think Kings Dominion falls into the trap that a lot of larger parks do, where there’s a couple fantastic coasters and all the rest are just okay. Unlike at BGW, where I rode everything more than once, I only got repeat rides on three of Kings Dominions coasters.
